Jeff Desom is a Los Angeles-based director from Luxembourg. His path covers a wide variety of formats ranging from music videos over short films to commercials and interactive installations. Works have been nominated in festivals world wide including, SXSW, LA Film Festival and the UK Music Video Awards. His first no-budget short film (The Plot Spoiler, 2006), completed before attending film school, was voted Best Short Film at the Luxembourg Film Awards in 2007. Over the years, Jeff has established a lasting collaboration with German composer Hauschka, resulting in four music videos and a filmic live performance. In 2012 he earned a Vimeo Award and the renowned Golden Nica at the Prix Ars Electronica for his reworking of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window. The installation went on to become part of a group exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York. Most recently, his nationally broadcast commercial for Rosport mineral water won top accolades in five categories at the 2016 Luxembourg Media Awards.
Jeff is currently developing his debut feature film Dead Noon, a Horror Western scheduled to be shot in 2018.
